Safe Harbour – Vision
To create and reconstruct on the 4,5 acres at the end of Moi Avenue in Mombasa were Mission to Seafarers is situated :
4 to 6 tropical botanic gardens in different botanic zones with greenhouse and garden centre combined with tea parlours, coffeeshop and bakery, A small supermarket & souvenir shop, new recreation facilities for all ages and new wellness facilities. On all free roofing areas to generate solar energy.
(re-)construction of 2 current facilities in accommodations for seafarers and day visitors, conference rooms, personal care facilities. Facilities redesigned as ships and rooms constructed from e.o.l. containers and equipped with solar panels.
extension of the tropical botanic gardens hosting containerized social workshops for new ventures and job creation for women, youth and persons with a disability.
